Adopt a Mao

+ There are two options for adopting a Māo: FREE or Purchased.
+ Once you are registered, you can start engaging in the kingdom social community (and soon be able to visit your kingdom’s metaverse environement.)

The Three Kingdom Structure

+ When you obtain a Mao, you will be designated a loyal citizen of one of the Three Kingdoms: Wei, Wu or Shu.
+ When you register a FREE Mao, you are an undeclared citizen, but may be recruited to join a kingdom based on your recorded activities.
+ Kingdoms are pitted against each other in the amount of wealth they collectively gather, their overall engagement, activism, and their total contributions to real-world humane socielties and animal shelters.

Kingdom Currency

+ Wealth is measured in Kingdom Rice (>kR). It can be referred to >kR, Kingdom Rice, or “kR” Tokens.
+ One grain of rice is equivalent to 0.001 USC. 1000 >kR equals one US cent, therefore 100,000 >kR = $1.00 USD.
+ Kingdom net worth is ”in-game” value and cannot be cashed-out for USD.
+ The only way to get USD out of the Mao Kingdom is through the sale of your NFT.

Real-World USD Currency

+ The only way to get USD out of the Māo Kingdom is through the sale of your NFT.
+ 10% of all profit (USD) will be designated to US humane societies and animal shelters in the form of grants. Kingdom populations will assist in determining the recipients of the grant awards.

Grow Wealth and Increase Your Net Worth

+ All Māos begin with a “Starting Net Worth.”
+ You increase wealth with participation and engagement within the Māo Kingdom and activities in the real word.
+ Your ”in-game” net worth increases the appraisal value of your Māo.
+ To bypass many of the early obligations and requirements, you can purchase a middle-class or upper-class Māo NFT and start with a respectable rank and net worth.
+ You always have the option to increase wealth with direct USD to >kR deposits.
+ There are a variety of ways to growth wealth:
—- Deposit USD to >kR.
—- Hire common class Māos to work the rice fields. You receive a percentage of their yield. (See Rice Fields Clicker Game)
—- Anyone from any class or rank can opt to work the fields and keep 100% of the yield.
—- Obtain educational degrees.
—- Obtain skill certifications.
—- Purchase Investment NFTs. These investments work just like in the real world. You buy an NFT investment, keep it for a designated period of time, then see an in-game payout.

Wealth Class, Status Class, and Kingdom Rank

+ All Māos begin with a “Starting Status Rank” and are designated a class (Common, Middle, Upper, or Royal).
+ You can see where you and all other Maos racnk here in the Kingdom Status Rank and Net Worth standings.
+ Your Status Rank is tied directly to your Net Worth. See Status Rank Chart here for status/net worth information.
+ Your Class is separate from your Status Rank and Net Worth (You can have extreme wealth and still be Middle Class, this would be considered “New Money.” You can only move up in class by being nominated by your kingdom emperor. If accepted, the conferment will be made by Ovadeus, the Supreme Ruler during the monthly Imperial Examination.)
+ Serial NFTs (i.e. Farmer 001, Farmer 002, Farmer 003, etc.) indicate status based on “Starting Net Worth”. For example, Farmer 001 will start with more net worth that Farmer 200. It is important to maintain your status and not allow a lower ranking NFT overtake your starting position.
+ To bypass many of the early obligations and requirements, you can purchase a middle-class or upper-class Māo NFT and start with a higher status rank and net worth.

Common Mao Opportunities (Apprentiships)

+ As a common-class Māo, you will likely be invited to be an apprentice or employee from a middle-class Mao (Farmer, Artisan, or Merchant).
+ If you accept, you work on behalf of the employer, part of your earning will go to that employer. However, if you commit to the employer for 30 days and successfully grow wealth, you may apply for a middle-class

Climb The Social Ladder

+ As a commoner or lower-class Māo, once you engage and increase your net worth and community ranking, you can apply for an apprenticeship. You must then receive and invitation from a higher class Māo and be accepted. This will earn you more net worth and help you climb the social ladder towards middle-class.
+ All common-class and middle-class Māos can accelerate their net worth, status, and ranking by purchasing educational diplomas, training certificates, and other accolade NFTs. All of these come with a >kR financial stipend.

Imperial Examination (Mandated by Heaven) Live Stream

+ Once a month, Ovadeus, the supreme ruler and holder of the Mandate of Heaven will stream live via Twitch to provide status reports, bestow praise upon individual Maos that complete certifications and training, exceed expectations, and show outstanding engagement. Rewards are granted in the form of Kindom Rice (>kR).

Recruitment is vital for the Mao Kingdom and each dynasty’s success. Recruiting pays you in-game currency dividends. Examples of recruitment include:
+ Lower and Middle class: Recruit your friends, colleagues and family in as FREE commoners or paid middle-class titles.
+ Generals: You must recruit your army. These can be through invitations and can include any middle or lower-class citizen.
+ Intellectuals: You must educate your citizens. These can be through invitations and scholarships and can include any citizen at any level.

1.3 Serving

Serving includes you fulfilling your loyalties (as explained in Section 1.1) and performing successfully in the Kingdom Clicker. Depending on your position, you will be required to visit the Kingdom Clicker and perform specific duties as related to your position or title. For example, Military positions will be required to hone hand and eye skills, while Farmers while be required to efficiently plant, maintain, and harvest rice in a clicker-style casual game interface. Serving your superiors pays you in-game currency dividends. Examples of serving include:

* To recruit an apprentice or military personnel, you purchase (!) and send them an NFT Apprentice Request Form. If they accept, they must pay 50% of their current net-worth to you. Middle-class are limited to 10 apprentices. Upper-class are limited to 25 apprentices. Generals are limited to 1000 recruits.

*** These can be purchased (!) by completing an NFT Accolade Test Form . But you must pass a simple subject-related test to receive credit for the accolade.

(!) Anytime we refer to PURCHASE, you can use in-game coins or USD. You are not required to spend any real-world monies. This is always optional.

1.4 In-Game Currency

We interchangeably refer to in-games currency as coins, tokens, points, in-game currency, or Yingbi (硬幣). It is the total sum of your Yingbi that determine your wealth or net-worth. Yingbi (硬幣), pronounced “ing-bee” is actually the official title of the currency and it is distributed and exchanges via coins.

You will purchase all in-game NFT avatars, NFT accolades, and NFT assets with Yingbi coins. Likewise, your engagement and Kigdom Clicker participation will be rewarded with Yingbi coins. Mao Kingdom is a USD-NFT driven experience, so you can purchase Yingbi coins at anytime with real-world USD currency from the Mao Kingdom Market.

1.5 Engagement Values
